Rogerson House
Community Partnerships

At Rogerson House, we consider ourselves to be very lucky to be located in such a culturally- and academically-rich area. It allows us to be active in many community, professional, and academic partnerships that are a vibrant part of Jamaica Plain, Boston, and today’s senior care / senior living world. Working with many of Greater Boston’s most engaged schools, institutions, advocates, long-term care resources, and other vitally important organizations builds true community involvement and enrichment for all of those involved!

Our Organizational Partnerships

To enhance the vitality and quality of life for our residents, our day program participants, and their families, Rogerson House partners with many community organizations, including:

  • The Alzheimer’s Association leads the way to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia — by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support.

  • LeadingAge Massachusetts is a trade association dedicated to supporting the work of not-for-profit aging service providers.

  • Massachusetts Assisted Living Association (Mass-ALA) is a not-for-profit association, dedicated to professionally-operated assisted living residences in Massachusetts that provide housing and services for individuals with varied needs and income levels.

  • Massachusetts Executive Office of Elder Affairs promotes independence, empowerment, and well-being of older people, individuals with disabilities, and their families. We ensure access to the resources you need to live healthy in every community in the Commonwealth.

  • SAGE | Advocacy & Services for LGBT Elders is the country's first and only technical assistance resource center focused on improving the quality of services and supports offered to lesbian, gay, bisexual and/or transgender older adults, their families and caregivers.

  • The LGBTQIA+ Aging Project is the premier resource in New England advocating specifically for LGBTQIA+ older adults. It is the “go to” place for organizations looking for training and technical assistance as well as individuals seeking connection and support.

  • Ethos is a private, nonprofit organization that helps the elderly and disabled live at home. They serve over 3,000 individuals and families, primarily in the Boston neighborhoods of Jamaica Plain, Roslindale, West Roxbury, Hyde Park and Mattapan. Ethos offers a wide range of high-quality, discounted services and support, delivered at home and in the community.

  • Central Boston Elder Services provides services to Elders and Disabled in the Greater Boston area to remain self-sufficient and in their homes through both short and long-term care. Home Care Programs are available to residents in the Boston neighborhoods of Allston, Brighton, Back Bay, Fenway, Mission Hill, North Dorchester, North Jamaica Plain, South End and Roxbury.

  • Chelsea Jewish Hospice Care is dedicated to providing compassionate care while helping Boston residents and their loved ones find the support, services, and resources they need. Serving the Greater Boston community, we focus on the physical, emotional and spiritual well-being of individuals and families.

We offer to people of goodwill the opportunity to join the elderly in friendship and celebration of life. Since 1979, their Boston chapter has worked to improve the lives of older adults who are without the benefit of family or adequate social contacts, giving priority to elders living independently at or below the poverty line. Programs are provided without charge and without regard to race, gender, creed, nationality, or sexual orientation.
