Special Programs At Rogerson House, we offer so much more than a nice
place to live. Residents and day program participants
are treasured for the people they were before they
began to face Alzheimer’s or memory loss, and
more importantly, for the people they are today.
Rogerson Fitness FIRST
Rogerson Fitness FIRST is a specialized fitness program
that allows participants to work with an exercise
physiologist on state-of-the-art Nautilus equipment
designed especially for elders.

Music Therapy
Our unique music therapy program allows
participants to access some of their earliest and most
treasured memories. Enjoying a concert, singing with
our families, or just beating a drum, the joy that
is music isn’t
lost with memory.
Pastoral Counseling
For many, faith has also been
intertwined with life. The Rogerson House chaplain
offers both familiarity and comfort, no matter the
religion. Even for those for whom religion has not
been explicit, pastoral counseling can simply help
them to find meaning in their lives.
Community
Programs
Rogerson House works hand-in-hand with the Mosaic
School and local day cares to create ongoing intergenerational
programming. Additionally, in a wonderful collaboration
between art and aging, Rogerson House participants
created the Rogerson House Faith Quilt “We Remember”,
which was displayed at both the Boston Center for the
Arts and the Museum
of the National Center for Afro-American Artists in Roxbury in 2006.
